SPD-Parteiblatt sieht "Männerrechtler als gesellschaftliches Problem" – News vom 20. Juni 2017

1. Dass die Spezialdemokraten gewaltige Probleme damit haben, Geschlechterpolitik auch für Männer zu machen, ist kein großes Geheimnis. Deshalb überrascht es nicht, dass im SPD-Parteiblatt "Vorwärts" bereits gegen die Akteure einer solchen Geschlechterpolitik Stellung bezogen wird – gegen Männerrechtler im allgemeinen und gegen die Liberalen Männer der FDP sieben Wochen vor ihrer Gründung im Besonderen. Diesmal erklärt uns Julia Korbik, warum Männerrechtler für sie ein "gesellschaftliches Problem" darstellen.

Dabei sagt Julia Korbik an mehreren Stellen ihres Aufsatzes nicht die Wahrheit:

Es ist nun einmal nicht zu leugnen, dass die überwältigende Mehrheit der Opfer [häuslicher] Gewalt Frauen und die überwältigende Mehrheit der Täter Männer sind.

Tatsächlich liegt eine Gleichverteilung zwischen den Geschlechtern vor.

In der FDP rauft man sich angesichts dieses vermeintlichen Einsatzes für Gleichberechtigung die Haare, und das zu Recht.

Tatsächlich ist das eine Wunschphantasie von Julia Korbik, die durch bloßes Behaupten nicht in die Wirklichkeit geträumt werden kann.

Eine andere, vielsagende Angstphantasie von Julia Korbik ist diese:

Männerrechtler finden in den letzten Jahren immer mehr Gehör.

Es folgt ein wenig Geholze gegen MANNdat und Genderama sowie Lob für das aus feministischer Sicht erfreulich handzahme Bundesfourm Männer.

Julia Korbiks Attacken auf die Männerbewegung sind auch Thema eines Artikels von Mark Smith. Auch er macht darauf aufmerksam, dass Korbiks Artikel von Anfang an von einer auffallenden Unehrlichkeit geprägt ist und sich Korbik eher von ihren Ängsten als von belegbaren Tatsachen leiten lässt – etwa wenn es schon im Titel ihres Beitrags heißt: "Wie die Liberalen Männer den Feminismus bekämpfen wollen". Smith kommentiert:

Im entsprechenden Programmentwurf kommt das Wort Feminismus überhaupt nicht vor, und ich kann außerdem keinen Kampf oder ein Gegeneinander feststellen im Sinne von: hier der böse Feminismus und da die guten Liberalen Männer. Das Framing des Titels gibt dementsprechend bereits eine gewisse Sichtweise vor, unter welcher Perspektive (Frame) der Text gelesen werden soll: nämlich die Bekämpfung des Feminismus durch die Liberalen Männer der FDP.

Smiths Analyse endet mit dem Fazit:

Julia Korbik geht es primär nicht um eine inhaltliche Auseinandersetzung mit dem Programmentwurf der Liberalen Männer der FDP sowie den Problemlagen und den Benachteiligungen, die es nun mal gibt, von Jungen, Vätern und Männern, sondern vornehmlich um Dämonisierung, Feindbilderzeugung und Delegitimierung der Liberalen Männer und deren Anliegen. Es macht den Anschein, dass Benachteiligungen sowie Problemlagen von Jungen, Männern und Vätern von gewissen Feministinnen, wie beispielsweise Julia Korbik, vehement negiert werden sollen.

Warum wird die bloße Existenz einer Männerbewegung außerhalb der Mauern der feministischen Sichtweise von einigen als Bedrohung erlebt? Vor ein paar Tagen schon fasste einer der Kommentatoren bei Christian Schmidt die Aufregung über die Liberalen Männer in der FDP treffend zusammen:

Dieser Vorgang ist ein Faszinosum. Diese Gruppe ist bisher ein Phantom. Außer einem ersten, halbgaren Entwurf eines nicht gerade revolutionären Themen- und Forderungskatalogs weiß man nichts über sie, insbesondere kennt niemand die involvierten Personen und deren Machtpositionen innerhalb und außerhalb der FDP.

Trotzdem scheint bei Oestreich und Co. Alarmstimmung zu herrschen, und man fährt schon mal auf Vorrat Geschütze auf und feuert Breitseiten ab.

Panik?

Panik bei dem Gedanken, irgendwo im Machtgefügen der Parteienlandschaft (ohne AfD) könnte ein winziges Eckchen entstehen, wo die feministische Monokultur unterbrochen wird?

Ja, so ist das wohl. Wir erleben beim Feminismus derzeit das, was wir in der Menschheitsgeschichte schon oft erlebt haben: Aus einer emanzipatorisch gedachten Revolution von Individuen ist ein rigides, hierarchisches System geworden. Und aktuell sind wir die Störenfriede, die dieses System in Unordnung bringen. Für mich persönlich ein Lebenstraum, für viele andere einfach nur nervig. :-)

2. Der Stern beschäftigt sich mit den unterdiagnostizierten Depressionen bei Männern:

Statistisch gesehen erkranken Frauen zwei bis drei mal häufiger an Depressionen. Es drängt sich die Frage auf, ob es Männern vielleicht einfach nur schwerer fällt, über das Thema zu reden und sich und ihrem Umfeld gegenüber den Malus einzugestehen. Immerhin liegt die Selbstmordrate von Männern drei mal so hoch wie bei Frauen. Manche Männer nehmen ihre Probleme scheinbar buchstäblich lieber mit ins Grab, statt einfach mal drüber zu sprechen.

Ja, warum sprechen Männer nicht einfach mal über ihre Probleme, diese Dödel? Es ist doch nicht so, als ob das mit sozialen Sanktionen bestraft werden würde ..?



3. Ein Beitrag über internalisierte Männerfeindlichkeit, den ich aktuell entdeckt habe, ist eigentlich schon zu alt für ein Newsblog, aber wenn ich etwas besonders spannend finde, mache ich ja mal eine Ausnahme. Der Text wurde von einer schwarzen Frau verfasst, die mit einem weißen Mann verheiratet ist. Die beiden hatten gerade eine Wohnung an eine Frau statt an einen Mann vermietet.

At dinner we were discussing that choice in terms of intersectionality and so I started by saying that it was very wrong of us in terms of equality to choose the girl for the reason we did. He agreed but said that it is just a part of life that people are more afraid of men and that he also has the same fears of other men. He spoke about a recent thing that happened to us. We were at a park both lying down on a rug and watching our kids play. A child with down syndrome then came up to us and close to my husband and lay down as if she wanted to sleep, she held on to his leg and admittedly it was weird. I thought nothing of it and moved around so that he could move closer to me to give the child more space to lay down.

At dinner last night he told me that in that instance he was very afraid of what others might think of him with a little child laying next to him like that, I would not have been afraid and fear was the furthest thing from my mind. So I asked him if he sees how this negative stereotype against men hurts men. He said yes but that it is just a part of life. He said that if for example our toddler goes to a woman and plays he would think nothing of it but when she goes to a man he pays more attention, looks closer just in case something happens.

This all reminded me of something else: being black! And so I told him, he knows exactly what it is like to be black. This made me wonder, is it the case that men as a whole can understand what being black is like since they live a similar experience. A disturbing part of being black is that the media or culture or just the reality does cause you to be afraid of others who are exactly like you. You may be aware that it is wrong, but you are still unable to stop that from happening.

4. In Großbritannien analysiert der maskulistische Abgeordnete Philip Davies, wie er trotz recht happiger Verleumdungen im Wahlkampf über die Schwadrone der feministischen Korrektheit siegte:

The 2017 General Election was the time when the politically correct brigade decided that they wanted my time in Parliament to end.

As I have written here before, if you take on their shibboleths (eg arguing against positive discrimination and quotas in jobs) then they try to smear and bully you. Their aim in smearing you is to discredit you so that nobody believes what you say. Alternatively, they bully you to try to stop you from speaking out again and to discourage others from doing so.

Fighting political correctness since I was first elected in 2005 had brought a considerable amount of smearing and abuse. However, I am stubborn and refuse to be bullied and so had continued campaigning against political correctness in Parliament.

Indeed, as far as the PC brigade was concerned, I had become far worse. I actually had the temerity to argue that men and women should be treated equally in the criminal justice system. I have repeatedly highlighted how men are treated much more harshly in the criminal justice system and I had the nerve to argue that the sex of the victim and the perpetrator was irrelevant – all should be treated equally before the law. This flies in the face of the feminist zealot position I have previously mentioned which is that they want equality for women but only when it suits!

My reward for saying that everyone should be treated equally was to be called a misogynist by Sophie Walker, Leader of the Women’s Equality Party, and to be opposed by her at the General Election.

The election campaign in Shipley was predictably vile. Those opposing me decided that they had no positive message to sell to the electorate and so they relied – almost exclusively – on untruths and smears.

To give just one example, a lady in Bingley told me that a canvasser from the Women’s Equality Party had told her that the reason I had opposed the Istanbul Convention was because I beat my wife. I don’t know how many people were told this but I sincerely hope nobody believed such a nasty, blatant lie.

The Shipley Feminist Zealots put out leaflets – claiming not to be supporting any candidate although clearly acting as cheerleaders for the Labour Party and against me – which were full of half-truths and in some cases blatant untruths about my record in Parliament. They even handed out free cake to people along with their leaflets urging people not to vote for me. Keen students of election law might recognise this as "treating" but the Shipley Feminist Zealots did it with impunity.

In the event, despite Labour claims early on the evening of the count that they had won (these claims were faithfully reported as fact by their many friends in the media), I was re-elected with a majority of 4,681 (around half the majority I had in 2015), with the highest number of votes I have ever received (27,136), and the highest percentage of the vote I have ever achieved (51.3%).

The Leader of the Women’s Equality Party secured a derisory 1,040 – just 1.9% of the vote – thereby losing her deposit.

I am grateful to the people of the Shipley constituency for seeing through the lies and smears – they are wonderful salt of the earth people.

Three points of interest about the Women’s Equality Party come to mind. The first was how much national media interest they were able to generate from their left-wing politically correct friends in the London media despite having so little public support. The Guardian, Sky News and Channel 4 News were just three examples of the media coming to report in the campaign in Shipley – giving maximum publicity to the campaign from the Women’s Equality Party – even though it was pretty obvious throughout they would lose their deposit.

The second (and most satisfying) was how I managed to change the policy of the Women’s Equality Party on an issue of ... women’s equality and rights! Before the election someone had emailed the Women’s Equality Party about their stance on sharia councils and their treatment of women. The Women’s Equality Party replied to say "The Women’s Equality Party is a non-partisan political party and the issue of sharia councils is a partisan one so we don’t have a Party line".

I have worked with the Crossbench Peer and human rights campaigner Baroness Cox against sharia councils and their treatment of women. I highlighted the Women’s Equality Party’s shameful position on sharia councils and guess what ... .the Women’s Equality Party now opposes Sharia Councils and their treatment of women. I am delighted I was able to help them with their policies to help women!

Finally, during Channel 4 News’ visit to Shipley, Sophie Walker said to the programme: "Philip Davies is a proponent of the idea that you achieve equality by treating everyone the same" – something she repeated at one of our hustings meetings. She is absolutely right – I do. How she equates that with her defamatory accusations at the start of the campaign – that I am a misogynist and anti-women – is beyond me, but I look forward to her explanation.

So I managed to persuade the Women’s Equality Party to change their policy on sharia councils and I managed to persuade them that I believe in true equality. All in all that seems like a success. I hope Sophie stands again in Shipley at the next General Election when I will aim to again help her develop better policies.

5. In Berlin will die rot-rot-grüne Regierung einen Rat aus Sittenwächtern darüber entscheiden lassen, welche Reklame erlaubt und welche verboten wird. Dabei scheint es sich um ein Phantomproblem zu handeln: Beschwerden wegen Reklame, die irgendjemand anstößig findet, gibt es keine.



6. "Viele Eltern können sich das Wechselmodell nicht leisten" argumentiert der für das Bundesfrauenministerium tätige Psychologe Stefan Rücker.



7. Hm, das ist irgendwie blöd gelaufen: Venedigs erste weibliche Gondoliere ist jetzt ein Mann..



8. Die Post. Einer meiner Leser schreibt mir heute:

Vielleicht können Sie diese Information im Hinblick auf den Mythos vom Gender Pay Gap verwenden. Es geht um einen Artikel aus dem Tagesspiegel, in dem es um sogenannte "weibliche Computer" geht. Dies sind Abteilungen in der Astronomie Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts, die auschließlich aus Frauen bestanden. Diese wurden engagiert, um die riesige Menge an Material zu bearbeiten (reine Routinearbeit, aber zeitaufwändig), die damals anfiel. Wie im Tagesspiegel üblich, wird der Artikel aus feministischer Sicht geschrieben und soll dazu dienen zu zeigen, wie die böse Männerwelt in der Wissenschaft die Leistungen weiblicher Angestellter nicht würdigt. Nicht neues also.

Man könnte sich nun allerdings fragen, warum diese Abteilungen ausschließlich aus Frauen bestanden. Diese Antwort findet sich im Artikel: Frauen wurde weniger Geld bezahlt. Der Tagesspiegel hat somit unbedachterweise den Nachweis erbracht, dass TATSÄCHLICH ausschließlich Frauen eingestellt werden, wenn man diesen weniger Lohn zahlen kann. Ein Argument, dem Feministinnen meist nur entgegnen können, dass die Bosheit der Männer so weit geht, dass Vorurteile gegen Frauen sogar vor wirtschaftlichen Interessen stehen. Nun zeigt die Realität allerdings, dass genau das Gegenteil passiert, und das auch noch in der frauenverachtenden damaligen Welt der Wissenschaft! Wenn das schon dort vor über 100 Jahren passierte, dann erst Recht in anderen Branchen, gäbe es diesen Gender Pay Gap wirklich.
