Extremismusdebatte, Hillary Clintons sexistische Angstpropaganda – Vermischtes vom 8. Februar 2017

1. Der gestern auf Genderama verlinkte Blogbeitrag, dem zufolge die Männerrechtsbewegung zu Extrempositionen übergehen sollte, findet inzwischen Erwiderungen bei Christian Schmidt und Geschlechterallerlei. Auch auf diese Erwiderungen gibt es bereits eine Replik.



2. Österreichs SPÖ fordert eine verpflichtende Frauenquote von 35 Prozent im Parlament. Auf Facebook kommentiert Alexander Hablé.



3. Auf deutsch berichtet jetzt auch Spiegel Online über die Forschung an einem Verhütungsgel für Männer.



4. Hillary Clinton hat einen Trost für alle, die mit Trump als US-Präsidenten unglücklich sind. Sie erinnert aktuell mit Statements wie "Ich bin überzeugt: Die Zukunft ist weiblich!" daran, dass uns zumindest ein sexistischer, komplett beratungsresistenter Narzisst im Weißen Haus erspart geblieben ist.

Für Clintons bemühte Fortsetzung des Geschlechterkrieges bescheinigt ihr eine Journalistin des "Washington Examiner" schon in der Schlagzeile Feminist Fearmongering: "the feminist movement's favorite recruitment strategy". Dabei verliert diese Ideologie zunehmend an Relevanz:

A survey released in January by the Washington Post and Kaiser Family Foundation found that less than half of women believe the feminist movement today is focused on the changes they want to see. If the newly-energized women's movement continues to cling to these antiquated narratives depicting modern life as a suffocating patriarchy, its failure to resonate with women will persist.

(Eine andere aktuelle Studie belegt übrigens, dass entgegen Clintons Propaganda ihre Wahlniederlage keineswegs "unbewusstem Sexismus" zu verschulden war.)

Der Conservative Review hat Antworten zusammengestellt, die Clinton für ihre populistischen Sprüche auf Twitter erhalten hat:

"The future is female?" What an incredibly tone deaf and sexist remark, not to mention awful message to send to boys.

Hillary Clinton declares "The future is Female!" Well, she also said she was going to be president ...

The party that is currently saying "the future is female" is the same party that says gender is a social construct. Let that sink in.

Ben Shapiro widerspricht Clinton im Daily Wire:

No, the future isn’t female. The future is free. And that distinction eluded Hillary during the campaign, which is why she lost. Identity politics can be lucrative business, but it isn’t the truth: the truth is that we all seek a future in which women around the globe have the same freedoms women in America do (although Hillary did little to forward that mission as Secretary of State). Labeling the future "female" is as benighted as labeling it "male" or "black" or "gay." The future has yet to be decided, and we should all pray that the future isn’t owned by any particular social group.
